About Adzy's Stump Grinding

Adzys Stump Grinding is a Queensland-based service business specializing in professional stump removal. What started as a one-man operation with a truck and a grinder quickly grew into a high-demand service due to Adam’s reliability and quality workmanship. But while demand was growing, the systems behind the scenes weren’t — and Adam found himself stuck in the chaos of daily operations with no time to scale.

Challenges

As a solopreneur, Adam was handling everything — from quoting and booking jobs to sending invoices and answering calls in between. The business was growing, but without structure, every day felt reactive. Key issues included:

  • Lead Management Inefficiencies – Enquiries came through text, email, and word-of-mouth, but there was no central system to track or follow up.

  • Manual Scheduling & Job Conflicts – Jobs were tracked on paper or in Adam’s head, often leading to double bookings or forgotten visits.

  • Billing Delays & Payment Chasing – Invoices were sent late, if at all, and payments often went uncollected.

  • Zero Visibility on Performance – Without data, Adam was guessing what worked, what didn’t, and where the business was heading.

It was clear that for the business to grow, it needed structure, automation, and better visibility — fast.

Approach

The Metrix team worked directly with Adam to rebuild the business from the inside out. Our goal was to transform Adzys Stump Grinding into a systemised, scalable machine — freeing Adam from the day-to-day chaos so he could grow the business with confidence. We approached this by overhauling everything from job tracking and client comms to marketing and analytics.

Strategy & Execution

We began with immediate relief — shifting Adam’s scheduling and quoting to Tradify, giving him a central system for managing leads, bookings, and job history. Then we layered in powerful automation and digital infrastructure:

  • CRM & Lead Funnels – All leads now flow through a dedicated CRM with automated follow-ups, reminders, and quote approvals.

  • Website & Paid Media – We rebuilt the website and launched high-converting Google and Meta ads that consistently generate qualified job leads.

  • Job Management & Crew Dispatch – With six active crews now operating, job scheduling and routing is automated and synced with Tradify.

  • Invoicing & Payments – We automated billing, added payment integrations, and set up reminders to reduce admin and accelerate cash flow.

  • Performance Tracking – A real-time dashboard gives Adam complete visibility over bookings, team performance, and revenue trends.
